Volunteer opportunities for "NCAGG at the Big Build 2024" are now open:

This year, the NCAGG is participating in The Big Build event hosted by the National Building Museum on October 19th, 2024, to bring awareness to the public about the Guild and a brief history of studio glass while sharing several examples of techniques and uses of glass as art. Historically, most attendees are families with young children.  Part of our educational display will include a children’s activity table and a handout of glass industry resources for classes, supplies, services, and support.

Lend us your glass.

We are seeking volunteer participants. Lend us your glass for display at this event. We hope to share a variety of examples including blown, fused, slumped, mosaic, cast, torch, pate-de-verre, bead, stained glass, mosaic or dichroic. Except for a few pieces placed under plexi-boxes, we expect a lot of handling of the smaller pieces…so, make sure you are OK with that.

Tamah Graber has graciously agreed to review and collect our samples for display. To participate, first send her a photo of your piece with size and process description. grabertamah@gmail.com She’ll let you know what works best for the display. Then, bring your items (well packaged) to the Annual Meeting on Sunday, September 29th.

Pass us your Puddles

One of our most popular giveaways are the ‘puddle’ glass creations by our members. So start melting those leftover glass scraps to create fun puddle keepsakes for our young visitors. Keep the size between 1 to 3 inches. Drop of your package of puddles at the Annual Meeting as well.

To sign up as a volunteer, click below and follow the instructions. It only takes a few seconds.
