October 1 - 31, 2010: NCAGG Show at American Craftworks Gallery
This NCAGG members-only show at the American Craftworks Gallery in Annapolis, MD is
titled "Reflections III" and continues the 2009 and 2008 show theme.
March 28 - April 27, 2010: NCAGG Show at
Glenview Mansion
The City of Rockville, MD hosted our new show, "Generations in Glass" at the
Glenview Mansion Art Gallery, showcasing the tremendous diversity, creativity, and growth
in glass art in the greater Washington, DC area with almost 70 NCAGG artists and over 130
individual works of art, including kiln-worked, stained, flame-worked, and blown glass. A
highlight of the show was the "Inspirational Invitational", showcasing the work
of pioneers that have inspired the vibrant glass art community in the greater DC area,
nominated by NCAGG members.

October 2010: New Art Glass Book Features Several NCAGG Members
"Art Glass Today" by Jeffrey B. Snyder features over 60 contemporary,
international glass artists and their work. They share their blown, cast, kiln-formed,
lampwork, cold work, fusing, laminating, carving, sand blasting, acid etching, and cutting
techniques. NCAGG members Jackie Braitman, Cindy Coldiron, Jody Danner
Walker, Michael Janis, Martin Kremer, Anne Elise
Pemberton, Sherry Selevan, Tim Tate, and Erwin
Timmers are featured in the book. The book includes 354 color photos and all who enjoy
working in glass will find it an invaluable reference and inspiration. The book is

September 10 - October 3, 2010: Corrine Whitlatch Glass Art
Exhibition at the 1st Stage Theater in McLean, VA
NCAGG member Corrine Whitlatch exhibits her art at the
1st Stage Theater. The exhibition is titled
"Silk Road Reflections" and includes a series of pieces that reflect images and
narratives of the Middle East. The artist reception is September 14, 2010, 4-6 pm.
September 7 - 28, 2010: Several NCAGG Members in Exhibition at
the Ratner Museum in Bethesda, MD
NCAGG members Benjamin Bornstein, Kari Minnick, Anne Elise
Pemberton, Jill Tanenbaum, Robert Wiener, and Nancy
Weisser participate in "INTERSECT: Glass Meets Art" a glass art exhibition
at the Ratner Museum [ratnermusuem.com] in Bethesda, MD. The artist reception is September
12, 2010, 1:30-3:30 pm.
September - December 2010: Vitrum Studio Glass Art Classes in
Beltsville, MD
NCAGG members Judith Conway and Kevin O'Toole, along with
other artists, teach over 20 glass art classes in a variety of topics. Details at the

September - November 2010: Kari Minnick Glass Art Classes in
Silver Spring, MD
NCAGG members Kari Minnick and Laurie Siegel will teach several fused glass classes at

August 29 - September 4, 2010: Elizabeth Braun Workshop at
Arrowmont in Gatlinberg, TN
NCAGG member Liz Braun teaches a workshop on reverse
relief casting at the Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts in Gatlinberg, TN. Full and

Fall & Winter 2010: Glass Art Classes & Workshops at
Glen Echo Park, MD
Several classes are under way at the Art Glass Center in Glen Echo, MD - blown, stained,

July 19 - 23, 2010: Liz Mears Flameworking Class at
Jacksonville Center for the Arts in Floyd, VA
Let's create with hot glass! NCAGG member Liz Mears [elizabethmears.com] is teaching a
week-long flameworking class at the Jacksonville Center for the Arts in Floyd, VA. A starting
packet will be supplied to all students and Liz will give demos and work with each

"Within the Walls": a technique-intensive kiln working workshop by NCAGG member

Chicago, IL
"Glass - Up Against the Wall!" NCAGG member Michelle
Rial exhibits 50 works of fused glass art at the Pop-Up Gallery in Chicago, IL.
June 25, 2010: Creative Crafts Council Auction of Fine
Craft at the Mansion at Strathmore in Bethesda, MD
A festive evening of live and silent auctions of fine contemporary craft items created by
outstanding regional craftsmen will be held Friday,
June 25, 2010 at 7 pm at the Mansion at Strathmore. The
event is open to the public and is sponsored by the Creative Crafts Council
which represents nine guilds (including NCAGG) for artists in glass, fiber, ceramics,
polymer, metals, and mixed media. Proceeds from the auction will support
the CCC biennial juried crafts exhibition in 2011. Silent auction bidding begins
at 7 pm and the live auction starts at 8 pm.

This exhibition of new work by NCAGG member Kari Minnick [kariminnick.com] is titled
"In the Clear" and includes floor and wall installations, pedestal and wall
sculpture. It takes place at BlackRock
Center for the Arts, June 16 - July 10, 2010 and the artist reception is June 19,
2010, 5:30 - 7:30 pm.
